Trainers Bureau Overview
Collaborative Practice California is committed to providing opportunities for education and training to promote the professional excellence of practice groups.
The Trainers Bureau is provided to assist practice groups in finding trainers that meet their groups’ needs for education, skill development, enhancing consistency of Collaborative Process and team work.
Practice groups can contact trainers directly to learn more about their approach and the topics that they teach. Contact information is provided for easy access on the Trainers List.
Each practice group is responsible for gathering information from the individual trainers to learn more about their expertise and experience. It is recommended that the practice group also ask questions of the trainers regarding their fees and/or travel expenses associated with presenting or traveling to the training site. This information will assist the practice group in finding a trainer that meets their needs and fits their budget.
Each practice group is also responsible for understanding and applying for approval of continuing education units for the appropriate professions. Information on procedures for applying for approval of CEU credit through sponsorship with CP Cal is explained further below. CP Cal is limited in offering only four sponsorships of programs for practice groups per year and will sponsor programs on a first come first served basis.
It is our hope that the resources provided here will assist Collaborative Practice groups in organizing joint programs in their area to give individual members opportunities to build skills, experience the unity of collaborative practice, and to help teams deliver consistency in services to families.
